Caving in Kelmend
For
the past five years exploration of the karst primarily above
the village of Lepushe in the Kelmend Province of Northern
Albania has been undertaken by various members of the Eldon
Pothole Club, with a certain degree of sucess.
The
area remains largely unexplored and the possiblities of
significant finds remains high. The chances of finding a deep
cave are probable. Already the entrance of the highest cave
found is close to 1000m above the lowest point reached. They
just remain to be linked
